2. About Us

Monroe Taxi Ltd is a private hire operator based in Teesside, UK. Our service is designed to prioritise safety, comfort, and flexibility — especially for women and underrepresented communities — while remaining open to all.

We operate as a licensed Private Hire Operator, using self-employed, individually licensed drivers who are responsible for their own vehicles, insurance, and legal compliance.

3. Inclusivity & Driver Recruitment

Monroe Taxi Ltd was created to address the lack of representation and opportunity for women in the private hire and taxi industry. Our service is designed with the needs of women in mind, both as passengers and as drivers.

While we actively encourage applications from:

  • Women
  • Muslim women
  • Mothers seeking flexible work
  • Students and other underrepresented communities

We are fully committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We do not exclude men or any other applicants from applying. All driver applications are assessed fairly and without discrimination, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

4. Who Can Use Our Services

Our services are available to everyone, regardless of gender. Although our focus is on creating safer, more comfortable transport options for women, we do not prevent men from using the service.
